HELSINKI, TUUSULA, SAIMAA, KOLI, KUUSAMO, ROVANIEMI (LAPLAND)

This ultimate 7 night tour was based on a private tour we offered for guests in Summer 2015.  It was such a success story that we decided to add it to our Collection for the coming year.  Perfect for self-drive and groups, this year round program offers a great taste of Finnish lifestyle from the Capital in the South right up to Lapland.  During Winter, stay in Lapland can be extended to enjoy more Classic Winter activities.

In Helsinki, guests have sightseeing drive in the city and to the Old Town of Porvoo, both seeped in history connected to Russian Tsars and Swedish Royalty.  Experience the traditional Smoke Sauna, with swimming in the lake or dipping in the ice hole during winter time!

Continuing onwards to the Saimaa Lake district, activities are suited to the season, with boating and fishing in the National Park during summer, and tour skating or snowshoeing in the winter.  Overnight for two night in the Lakeside hotel, with its fantastic wine cellar and medieval style lodge restaurant.

Making a stop at the Spa hotel in Koli while traveling north, means one night of luxury Spa use, looking down from the top of the fell over onoe of Finland's largest lakes, Pielinen.

2 Nights in the Dead Log Cabins in Kuusamo in the Heart of the Taiga Forest area.  During Summertime it is possible to visit the Bear Sanctuary and try out river rafting in the rapids of the Northern Rivers.  In winter time, we meet reindeer and husky dogs for sled rides.

The program finishes in Rovaniemi, Lapland, a great connection for extending the tour during winter (can include Northern Lights Tours, snowmobiling and further winter activities), or extend in Kemi for a Sampo Ice Breaker cruise and overnight.  During Summertime, guests can visit the Arktikum Museum.

Program ends in Rovaniemi, where guests can take Flight or Train to Helsinki.
