Northern Lights and King Crabs in Kirkenes

Start & End Point: Inari, Nellim, Saariselkä or Ivalo airport

Kirkenes in North Eastern Norway is a hidden town of 2.15 Km2, with 3,500 inhabitants.  Despite its small size, guests are welcomed to visit the Traditional Norwegian fishing town, which boasts excellent adventures during Summer and Winter time, right in the Heart of the Fjords.

In Winter, the lowest recorded temperature was -41.8 degrees C!  During these cold months, guests are supplied with warm clothing and taken by Snowmobile sled and taught how to ice fish for the delicacy of large King Crabs.  Of course a King Crab feast is a must for most visitors!

Journey from Ivalo in Finland is suitable for small groups willing to share the cost of private transfers, and the journey takes about 3-4 hours.

2 Night stay makes this a fulfilling addition to any Northern Finland program.
